Hi!  My name is Beth Lebhar and I first began  needlepointing as a small girl.  A friend of my parents gave me a kit and I distinctly remember finishing it.   The holes were big enough that you could poke your pinky through them.  I did a little bit of stitching in high school and college.

I started stitching seriously about 25 years ago.  (that makes me feel so old!)  I am a single mom and have been since my daughter, Brittany, was one.  She is now 20.  When my daughter was little, I was a full time stay at home Mom.  I would not have had it any other way.  As she grew older I volunteered in her classroom and eventually became a substitute teacher. Towards the end of fifth grade, Brittany was staying after school until 4:30 or so and did not want me there.  I realized that I needed another 'baby'.

I had thought about having my own shop for years but it had never been the right time.  My first priority was, and still is, being a mom.  That being said, the summer after fifth grade I started thinking seriously about starting a shop.  At first I decided to open my shop in the spring.  But, having never been an especially patient person, I decided that the upcoming fall would work just as well.

I then got VERY BUSY.  I found a location, got a loan and started accumulating inventory. It was a scary time for me because I wasn't sure the business was going to be successful and there was a lot of money involved.  My space was available on the first of October, 2004, and I began setting up shop!

I officially opened October 15, 2004 and I was my sole employee.  Some days I had good business and some days there was none.  But as the months passed, more and more people came.  Now I am fortunate enough to have 3 employees!!!  There names are Cathy Martin, Jena Monahan, and Deborah Ulin.  I am so lucky to have them.  They are all beautiful stitchers and bring diversity into my shop.

As the economy in Kentucky changed, I realized that I would need more sales to keep the store afloat.  So now, here I am with a website, clubs,  and a Cash for Your Stash Program.  After almost 10 years, I still love what I do and more than anything, I love to stitch!  If there is any way that I can help you with your needlepoint needs/wants/desires, I would love to be given the chance.  I wish you many years of Happy Stitching!
